- Your email address: e.g. email@example.com (this will be your email username)
- Your email password: e.g. password123 (this is set from cPanel > Email Accounts, you can reset it here)
- Your email server: e.g. mail.mydomain.com (always in the mail.
Step #1To begin with, locate your handset from the Blackberry Website here: http://uk.blackberry.com/support/devices/
Step #2The Blackberry website can be used as a main point of reference should you find the instructions listed on this screen not quite specific to your particular handset
Step #3From the Blackberry website, locate the specific Blackberry device that applies to you and click on the relevant icon.
Step #4Locate the option for "Create an email account?".
Step #5With your Blackberry mobile phone, enter the Email Setup menu in accordance to the Blackberry guide above.
Step #6If at this stage you are prompted to 'add' an email account, select "Other" and proceed to the following menu.
If you are alternatively asked to enter an email address and corresponding password before proceeding any further, this is where you enter the domain email address and corresponding password.
If the auto-configure errors stating it is 'unable to set up' your email account, in the next step of the email setup process you will be able to enter the email account settings manually.
Step #7Whilst configuring your email account on the Blackberry, you will need your email server settings.
The server settings are required as your Blackberry will not be able to connect to your mailbox with just an email address alone. When prompted to do so, choose the option for 'I will provide the settings' or similar. Choosing this option will allow you to manually configure the remaining email account settings to get your domain email to your phone.
Step #8Use the following email setting details when prompted (substituting your details where appropriate):
- Email Type: IMAP or POP (use IMAP to keep your mailbox in sync between multiple devices)
- Email Server (e.g. mail.yourdomain.com)
- Email Username (your email address)
- Email Password (as previous setup in cPanel)
Step #9Once all the settings/fields have been entered, complete the email account setup and you are finished.
This should complete the email setup on your device, if it’s still not working you may want to check if you’ve become blocked on our firewall for previously using incorrect email settings (as 5 incorrect logins will trigger a block).
You can easily unblock yourself by logging into your Pixeno client area (http://pixeno.com/account/), once your logged in if your not unblocked automatically you can navigate to Help & Support > IP Address Unblock and type the IP address you wish to unblock here (use whatismyip.com to check it).
